Shopee Seller Fee Breakdown — Philippines 2026
Every sale on Shopee Philippines comes with multiple fees that affect your net profit. Many new sellers are surprised to learn that Shopee deducts eight or more separate charges from every single order before the payout reaches your bank account. Understanding each fee helps you price products correctly and maintain healthy margins. Below is a complete breakdown of all Shopee seller fees for both Mall and Marketplace stores as of 2026.
Commission Fee
Shopee charges a category-based commission on every order. Mall commission rates range from 6.12% to 11.08% (VAT inclusive), while Marketplace rates run from 8.50% to 10.50%. Categories like Mobile & Gadgets and Computers tend to have lower rates, while Fashion and Beauty categories carry higher rates. The commission is calculated based on the item price before shipping. If you sell a laptop at ₱35,000 under the Computers category with a Mall rate of 6.12%, the commission alone would be ₱2,142. Check the Shopee Seller Education Hub for the latest rate schedule.
Transaction Fee
A flat 2.24% transaction fee (VAT inclusive) applies to every order regardless of category or seller tier. This fee covers payment processing through ShopeePay, credit cards, bank transfers, COD, and other payment channels available to buyers. On a ₱1,000 item, this means ₱22.40 goes to payment processing. This fee is non-negotiable and applies to all seller types.
Shipping Fee
Shopee deducts a shipping subsidy fee from seller payouts. For Mall sellers, the rate is 4.48% of the selling price, while Marketplace sellers pay 5.6%. Both are capped at ₱100 per order. A flat ₱5 order processing fee (OPF) is added on top of every order. For low-priced items under ₱500, the shipping fee is proportionally small, but for expensive items, the ₱100 cap keeps costs manageable.
BIR Withholding Tax
For VAT-registered sellers in the Philippines, Shopee withholds tax using the formula: WHT = (Selling Price − Shopee Fees) × 0.5 ÷ 112. This equals approximately 1% of half your VAT-exclusive net revenue. For example, if you sell an item at ₱10,000 and Shopee fees total ₱1,500, the WHT would be around ₱37.95. Non-VAT sellers may have a different withholding rate based on their BIR registration type.
Mega Discount Voucher (MDV)
MDV is an optional promotional fee of 4% (capped at ₱200 per order). Sellers who join Shopee campaigns, mega sales (6.6, 7.7, 9.9, 11.11, 12.12), and flash sales typically opt into MDV to get better product visibility and placement in campaign pages. On a ₱2,000 product, MDV costs ₱80. Toggle MDV in this calculator to see its impact on your margins before deciding to join a campaign.
Coins Cashback (CCB)
Coins Cashback is an optional fee of 3.36% (capped at ₱100 per order). It funds Shopee Coins cashback promotions for buyers, which can attract more purchases. On a ₱1,500 item, CCB costs ₱50.40. Sellers also enrolled in Mega Discount Voucher (MDV) get a 1% discount (2.36% instead of 3.36%, effective January 2026). Weigh the trade-off between higher sales volume and lower margin per sale.
Live Xtra
Live Xtra is an optional fee of 3.36% (capped at ₱100 per order) for sellers enrolled in Shopee's live-stream selling program. It provides enhanced live-stream features and priority placement during live sessions. Like Coins Cashback, sellers also enrolled in Mega Discount Voucher (MDV) get a 1% discount (2.36% instead of 3.36%).
Special SPayLater
Special SPayLater is an optional additional fee on top of the 2.24% transaction fee for installment orders. The rate is +3% for 3-month or +6% for 6-month installment plans. Unlike other optional fees, SPayLater has no cap, so it applies to the full selling price. On a ₱5,000 item with 6-month installment, SPayLater adds ₱300.

Shopee Mall sellers generally enjoy lower commission rates in certain categories (like Electronics and Computers) and a slightly lower shipping fee rate (4.48% vs 5.6%). However, Mall requires brand authorization documents and a stricter onboarding process. Marketplace sellers face higher fees per order but benefit from easier entry. For sellers with branded products and consistent volume, Mall can save 2–5% per order compared to Marketplace.
Pricing Example — How Fees Add Up
To illustrate how Shopee fees work in practice, here is an example for a product sold at ₱1,000 in the Computers & Accessories category with Mega Discount Voucher (MDV) and Coins Cashback (CCB) enabled. Since MDV is active, CCB gets the 1% discount (2.36% instead of 3.36%):
Mall Example (₱1,000 item)
- Commission (6.12%): ₱61.00
- Transaction Fee (2.24%): ₱22.00
- Shipping Fee (4.48% + ₱5 OPF): ₱50.00
- Mega Discount Voucher (4%): ₱40.00
- Coins Cashback (2.36% — MDV discount): ₱24.00
- Withholding Tax: ~₱3.58
- Total Fees: ₱200.58 (20.1%)
- Net Payout: ₱799.42
Marketplace Example (₱1,000 item)
- Commission (8.50%): ₱85.00
- Transaction Fee (2.24%): ₱22.00
- Shipping Fee (5.6% + ₱5 OPF): ₱61.00
- Mega Discount Voucher (4%): ₱40.00
- Coins Cashback (2.36% — MDV discount): ₱24.00
- Withholding Tax: ~₱3.43
- Total Fees: ₱235.43 (23.5%)
- Net Payout: ₱764.57
In this example, a Mall seller takes home ₱34.85 more per item than a Marketplace seller. Multiply that by hundreds of orders per month and the savings become significant. Use the calculator above to run your own products and categories to see the exact difference.
Tips for Maximizing Your Shopee Profit Margin
1. Know Your Break-Even Price
Before listing any product, use this calculator to find the minimum SRP at which you break even after all fees. Selling below break-even means losing money on every order, even if you see high sales volume. Factor in product cost, packaging, and all Shopee deductions.
2. Use the Reverse SRP Feature
Instead of guessing your selling price, enter your product cost and target margin (e.g., 20%). The calculator will compute the exact SRP needed to achieve that margin. This is especially useful when restocking or launching new SKUs with specific profitability targets.
3. Evaluate Optional Fees Before Joining
Optional fees (Mega Discount Voucher, Coins Cashback, Live Xtra, Special SPayLater) can add 10%+ on top of your regular fees. Toggle them on in the calculator to see if the margin impact is acceptable. Note: enrolling in MDV gives you a 1% discount on CCB and Live Xtra (2.36% instead of 3.36%). If your margin drops below 10%, the extra visibility may not justify the cost.
4. Choose Your Category Wisely
Commission rates vary significantly by category. If your product can legitimately fit into multiple categories, compare the commission rates for each. A 2% difference in commission on a ₱5,000 product saves ₱100 per sale. Always ensure the category matches your product to avoid policy violations.
5. Monitor Fee Changes Regularly
Shopee updates its fee schedule periodically, especially before major sales events. A commission rate increase of even 0.5% can turn profitable items into loss-makers. Bookmark this calculator and re-run your inventory whenever Shopee announces fee changes to adjust your pricing in advance.
6. Account for Shipping Fee Caps
The ₱100 shipping fee cap benefits sellers of higher-priced items. For a ₱5,000 product, the actual shipping deduction (₱100) is only 2% of SRP instead of the full 4.48–5.6%. Higher-priced items naturally enjoy better effective margins because fixed caps reduce the percentage impact of shipping fees.
