Shopee vs Lazada vs TikTok Shop Seller Fees (Philippines 2026)

By Jerome Ko · Last updated June 25, 2026 · Sources & methodology

Platform fees are the silent margin-killer for Philippine online sellers. Before you list a product, the percentage that Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok Shop deducts from your selling price determines whether that item is profitable — or not. A ₱1,000 item that looks like a ₱200 profit on paper can net you less than ₱50 once commission, transaction charges, and shipping subsidies are applied.

This guide puts all three major Philippine marketplaces side by side: what each platform charges, how those fees are structured, and what a seller actually takes home on an identical sale. Because fee schedules change, each figure is linked to its source and accompanied by a reminder to verify in the relevant Seller Centre.

Quick orientation: If you already sell on Shopee and want the full breakdown of every Shopee fee, see our Shopee Fees Guide. If your Shopee payout looked lower than you expected, see Why Is My Shopee Payout Lower Than Expected. This article focuses on how Shopee compares to Lazada and TikTok Shop.

Fee Comparison at a Glance

The table below summarises the main cost categories for a standard Marketplace (non-Mall) seller in mid-2026. Mall or LazMall sellers and TikTok Shop Mall sellers face different, typically higher commission rates. All figures should be verified in each platform's Seller Centre — fee schedules are updated periodically and your live category rate may differ.

Platform Fee Structures Explained

Shopee Philippines

Shopee uses a multi-layer fee model where several charges stack on top of each other. For a standard Marketplace seller, the mandatory fees on every completed order are:

On top of those, optional programs add further deductions if you join them: Malls Daily Voucher (MDV) at 4% capped ₱200. Important update: Effective May 11, 2026, Coins Cashback is free for sellers — the old 3.36% CCB service fee has been abolished (source: seller.shopee.ph, widely reported by BigSeller and Cloud Ecommerce). It is replaced by the Seller Growth Support Fee of approximately 1%–1.5% per completed order (varies by category; verify in Seller Centre), applied automatically to all sellers. New sellers are exempt for their first 90 days. Verify Live Xtra's current rate in Seller Centre. Sellers using SPayLater face an additional +3% (3-month) or +6% (6-month) surcharge with no peso cap. BIR Expanded Withholding Tax under RR 16-2023 is also deducted at roughly 0.5% effective rate (1% on half of gross remittances), with a ₱500,000 de-minimis threshold. See our full Shopee Fees Guide for the complete breakdown.

Lazada Philippines

Lazada's fee model is simpler in structure but has seen notable changes in 2025–2026. Key points based on BigSeller's 2026 Lazada guide and LOKAL's seller setup guide:

Note on Lazada rate conflicts: Different third-party sources report Lazada Marketplace commission rates ranging from 1%–5% to 6%–8%. This may reflect different time periods, seller tiers, or category-specific agreements. Log in to your Lazada Seller Centre and check your actual fee schedule before making pricing decisions.

TikTok Shop Philippines

TikTok Shop operates differently from Shopee and Lazada because a large share of its sales are driven by live-stream commerce and affiliate creator partnerships rather than organic search. This means a seller's effective cost includes not just platform fees but also creator commissions if they use the affiliate programme. Based on BigSeller's TikTok Shop PH commission guide:

Worked Example: Same ₱1,000 Sale on Each Platform

The following example uses a single ₱1,000 item sold through the standard Marketplace tier on each platform, with no optional programs activated and no creator commissions on TikTok Shop. For Shopee, we use the published 2026 rates. For Lazada and TikTok Shop, we use mid-range figures from the third-party sources cited above — these are illustrative estimates only. Actual deductions will differ based on your category, seller tier, and any campaigns you join. Always verify in each platform's Seller Centre before pricing.

Category used: Fashion Accessories (a middle-ground example for all three platforms).

How to read this table: The Shopee column uses published 2026 rates from our Shopee Fees Guide. The Lazada column uses a 4% commission (mid-range of the 1%–5% reported range) and an estimated 2.24% transaction fee from BigSeller. The TikTok Shop column uses the 7.00% Fashion Accessories Marketplace rate from BigSeller's January 2025 data. All non-Shopee figures are illustrative estimates — verify in each platform's Seller Centre before making pricing decisions.

The key takeaway from this example: Lazada's reported lower commission rate can mean a meaningfully higher gross payout before logistics, but FBL logistics costs eat into that advantage. Shopee bundles the shipping subsidy into its fee deduction so the logistics cost is predictable. TikTok Shop's payout sits between the two in this scenario — but if you activate creator affiliates at, say, 10%, you would pay an additional ~₱100 plus TikTok's 10% affiliate platform fee (~₱10), which would make TikTok the most expensive channel for that sale.

Which Platform Fits Which Seller?

No single platform is the cheapest or best for everyone. The right choice depends on your product category, volume, fulfilment model, and whether you plan to use live-stream commerce. Here is a practical framework:

Choose Shopee if…
  • You want the largest buyer base in the Philippines (Shopee consistently ranks as the most-visited e-commerce site in PH)
  • You prefer predictable, percentage-capped shipping fees bundled into your payout deduction
  • You sell in categories where Shopee's commission sits at the lower end (e.g., some electronics or grocery categories)
  • You want deep integration with ShopeePay and Shopee Coins loyalty mechanics
  • You want to use our fee calculator to model margins before listing
  • You want to evaluate whether Shopee's optional programs add value — see Are Shopee's Optional Programs Worth It?
Choose Lazada if…
  • Your category falls in a low-commission band (confirm in Lazada Seller Centre — rates vary widely)
  • You have existing logistics partnerships or prefer to manage your own fulfilment (DBS)
  • You sell larger or heavier items where Shopee's capped shipping fee is an advantage but you can negotiate better courier rates yourself
  • You target LazMall for brand credibility, accepting higher commission in exchange for premium placement
  • You want the auto-withdraw payout feature for cash-flow control
Choose TikTok Shop if…
  • Your product is highly visual and demonstrable — beauty, fashion, food, and gadgets tend to convert well in live commerce
  • You have or want to build creator/affiliate partnerships to drive discovery
  • You are a new brand trying to build awareness quickly (live streams can generate immediate volume)
  • You are comfortable with the added cost and complexity of managing creator commission agreements
  • You want to test the platform risk-free during the reported 90-day zero-commission period (verify current terms in TikTok Seller Centre)
Multi-channel strategy: Many mid-to-large Philippine sellers list on all three platforms simultaneously and use third-party multi-channel management tools (e.g., BigSeller, Ginee, or similar) to sync inventory. This diversifies your revenue but requires you to track per-platform margins carefully, since fee differences mean the same product can have meaningfully different net payouts across channels.

What This Calculator Covers

This site — the Shopee Fee Calculator Philippines — is built specifically for Shopee PH sellers. It models all current Shopee fees in detail:

It does not calculate Lazada or TikTok Shop fees. For those platforms, use each platform's own fee calculator in their respective Seller Centres, or build a spreadsheet based on the rates you confirm directly with those platforms.

For a deeper dive into Shopee's fee structure, see our Shopee Fees Guide and Shopee Commission Rates reference pages.

Important Caveats Before You Price

  1. Fee schedules change frequently. All three platforms have adjusted their rates multiple times in 2024–2026. Lazada raised commissions in early 2026; TikTok Shop introduced an order processing fee in December 2025. Always check the latest rates in your Seller Centre before setting a price.
  2. VAT treatment varies by source. Some third-party sources quote fees as VAT-inclusive; others do not specify. If you are a VAT-registered business, confirm with each platform's billing statements whether the stated percentages already include the 12% VAT or if it is charged on top.
  3. Mall vs Marketplace is a significant fork. Mall (Shopee), LazMall (Lazada), and TikTok Shop Mall sellers pay higher commissions in exchange for premium placement, verified branding, and buyer trust signals. The economics are different enough that they should be modelled separately.
  4. Promotions and vouchers are real costs. Seller-funded vouchers, platform vouchers that you co-fund, and campaign participation fees can add 3%–10% or more to your effective fee rate. These are not reflected in the base figures above.
  5. BIR EWT is creditable, not a final tax. The approximately 0.5% effective withholding is not an additional expense — you claim it back as a tax credit on your income tax return via Form 2307. It affects cash flow but not your final tax liability (assuming you file correctly). See BIR Withholding Tax on Shopee Sellers Explained for the full mechanics.
